Congratulations to both the Edison High School (EHS) football team and girls volleyball team for winning their respective California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) championship games on December 2, 2016.

The girl’s volleyball team swept Menlo-Atherton High School in the Division 1 state final game at Santiago Canyon College.  In doing so, they earned the first state title for the school’s program history.

That same day, the varsity football team and head coach, Dave White, were also crowned the CIF Southern Section Division 3 Champions. The Chargers defeated La Mirada High School 44-24.

With this victory, the team extended Coach White’s final season before retirement by advancing to the CIF State Division 1-A Regional Final against San Clemente High School this Saturday, December 10. The game will take place at Huntington Beach High School.
