Founder of Marina High environmental club selected as Disneyland Resort Dreamers & Doers Luminary

Congratulations to Marina High School (MHS) student, Austin Hwang, for being selected as one of just five Disneyland Resort Dreamers & Doers “Luminaries.”   On Saturday, February 25, Austin and 32 other Orange County high school students were recognized during a luncheon at the Disneyland Hotel. On Friday, February 24, the Orange County Register announced the 2017 OCVarsity Arts Artist of the Year nominees. In total, the Huntington Beach Union High School (HBUHSD) had 26 students nominated in seven categories — Theater, Dance, Film, Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, 2D Art, and 3D Art. On Thursday, February 23, Westminster High School (WHS) hosted 9th grade families for an informative evening of educational guidance.  Deemed “Freshman Passport to Success Night,” the event created a system for students and parents to receive a one-on-one meeting with a Westminster High School staff member.
