Twenty-three students from the Huntington Beach Union School District (HBUHSD) crossed the stage on October 3 at its fall graduation ceremony held at Ocean View High School (OVHS).

The students, who could not graduate with their fellow classmates in June for various reasons, were given the chance to wear their caps and gowns, receive their diplomas and turn their tassels from right to the left.

This is the third year the fall graduation ceremony has been held by the district.

Class members, families and friends were welcomed by Steve Curiel, principal of Huntington Beach Adult School, and Superintendent Dr. Clint Harwick. As the students crossed the stage, they were greeted by HBUHSD Board members and presented with their diploma from their respective school principal.

Graduates in the fall ceremony were Jordan Jones, Ryan McKabney and Noe Olivares from Edison High School; Ragheb Khalil and Danny Nguyen from Fountain Valley High School; Dade Faison, Emily Mix, Ava Summers, Jenna Turner and Ava Vidales from Huntington Beach High School; Mellissa Alani, Jesus Cholula Chavez, Anahi Cisneros and Ernesto Vasquez from Ocean View High School; Isaiah Avila, Ricardo Gonzalez, Evelina Jahn, Reina Pantoja and Cameron Peterson from Valley Vista High School; Josephine Cantoran, Joshua Carillo, Ignacio Hernandez and Nicole Quintara from Westminster High School.
