Congratulations to Edison High School senior, Jacob Tomin, on being named the Artist of the Year for Cinematography by the OC Register!

From the OC Register: “His thought process is sophisticated, and he has a clean, symmetrical style. As a writer/director/cinematographer, he is thinking like an artist and considers how all of the pieces can work together.”

Each nominee submitted one film, an artist statement, resumé, and responded to a series of questions for the first round. During the final round, a second film was submitted and watched by each semi-finalist with a panel of judges. After the film, the semi-finalists discussed their work and what it means to be an artist.

Jacob’s submission for the final round is titled Three Houses.
