On April 24, the Huntington Beach Union High School District honored its dedicated classified employees during the Classified Awards Banquet at Mile Square Banquet Center in Fountain Valley, CA. Classified employees serve students throughout school district in numerous ways — as a bus driver safely transporting a class on a field trip, an accountant responsibly tracking fiscal resources, or a food services employee ensuring healthy lunch options.

Individuals were recognized for their continuous years of service, decision to retire with the district, and for being named a school site Employee of the Year. Additionally, Superintendent Dr. Clint Harwick honored Jody Davis, Special Abilities Cluster Administrative Secretary from Edison High School, as this year’s district-wide Kay Nakauchi Classified Employee of the Year.
