It was an joyous celebration for over 90 certificated employees as they were honored by Board of Trustees and school site administrators at the annual Certificated Recognition Banquet on May 10.

Certificated employees work in supervisory, instructional, and administrative capacities within the district and hold certification qualifications or other designated service credentials.

Throughout the event, employees were recognized for their dedicated years of service and choice to retire with the district. Employees with 15, 20, and 25 years of service were given a service pin; employees with over 35 years of service received a crystal apple with an engraved base; and retiring employees received a brass school bell with an engraved base along with a personalized gold card for lifetime access to district activities.

One of the highlights of the evening included the thoughtful and funny stories shared by site administrators for each retiree.

As the night came to a close, the retirees collectively shook their bells to “ring in retirement” and officially mark the end of the event.
