Huntington Beach High School language arts teacher, Claire Main, has been selected as the 2017 Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD) Rookie of the Year! Determined students receive diplomas at fall graduation

Twenty-three students from the Huntington Beach Union School District (HBUHSD) crossed the stage on October 3 at its fall graduation ceremony held at Ocean View High School (OVHS). The students, who could not graduate with their fellow classmates in June for various reasons, were given the chance to wear their caps and gowns, receive their diplomas and turn their tassels from right to the left. Edison High students recreate Ellis Island experience

Since the year 2000, over 500 juniors at Edison High School (EHS) have participated in the Ellis Island Experience, a two-day activity held by the school’s Social Science department. This year, the event began on September 29. Led by History teacher, Brian Boone, students played the role of immigrants entering the United States through Ellis Island in 1908.
