FVHS Troubadours to perform at prestigious music conference

Congratulations to the Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) Troubadours for being selected to perform at the California All-State Music Education Conference (CASMEC) in San Jose, CA. The conference, held by the California Music Educators Association (CMEA), will take place February 11-14. Over 40 choirs from all levels, including university ensembles, auditioned to obtain this same honor, but only one choir was given a unanimous scoring to be featured – the Troubadours! Coast High School to launch student-crafted, solar-powered boat

Independent study students at Coast High School (CHS) are set to compete in the 2016 Solar Cup, a competition in which teams of students from throughout Southern California build and race solar-powered boats. The seven-month process, created by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWDSC), concludes with a three-day competition at Lake Skinner in Temecula Valley. The MWDSC hopes that, through this program, students will learn about conservation of natural resources, electrical and mechanical engineering, problem solving and more while also having fun.
