California Energy Commission awards HBUHSD with grant

On August 12, the State of California Energy Commission awarded the Huntington Beach Union High School District with $500,000 in grant money for a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Filling Station. This grant was offered to fund projects that establish or expand infrastructure necessary to store, distribute and dispense compressed natural gas for use in natural gas vehicles. Summer Institute 2.0

Prior to the new school year, the HBUHSD Professional Development hosted the Summer Institute 2.0 program. On Tuesday, August 18th and Thursday, August 20th over 20 different class sessions were offered throughout the district where teachers had the opportunity to learn new skills from their peers.
