Tom Shields serves as Edison football’s honorary captain

On August 26, Edison High School (EHS) graduate and Olympic Gold Medalist, Tom Shields, served as the varsity football team’s honorary captain. Prior to the game, Tom proudly displayed his gold medal at the captain’s meeting as he performed the coin toss. On August 13, Tom became a gold medalist at the 2016 Rio Olympics in the men’s 400-meter medley relay for racing in prelims of the event.  This was Tom’s first time performing in the Olympics. Edison High School names new Assistant Principal

Just in time for the new school year, the Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD) is pleased to announce the hiring of Edison High School’s (EHS) new Assistant Principal, Mr. Matthew White. After serving the Corona-Norco School District for ten years, White comes well-prepared and eager to become a contributing member of the HBUHSD. Since 2012, White has taught 10th grade English Honors, English Language Development, and served as the Head Swim Coach at Santiago High School in Corona, CA.  White also facilitated the school’s required second semester symposium project, a large component of their 10th grade curriculum...
