District celebrates classified employees at annual banquet

On April 26, the Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD) honored its dedicated classified employees during the 2016 Classified Awards Banquet at the Rose Center Theater in Westminster. On a day-to-day basis, classified employees serve students throughout school district’s in numerous ways — as a bus driver safely transporting a class on a field trip, an accountant responsibly tracking fiscal resources, or a food services employee ensuring healthy lunch options, they are essential to organization and student success. Six AVID seniors awarded over $100K in scholarship money at OCDE Senior Standout night

On Wednesday, Apr. 20, the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) hosted its annual AVID (Advanced Via Individual Determination) Senior Standout Recognition & Scholarship Presentation at the Irvine Barclay Theater.
