Jeff Grady named as new head football coach to alma mater Edison High School

The Chargers of Edison High School (EHS) are pleased to announce the hiring of their new head football coach, Jeff Grady.  Coach Grady comes to Edison after serving five years as a varsity football coach at Santa Margarita Catholic High School (SMCHS) in Santa Margarita, CA.  Before his extensive college football and coaching career, Coach Grady also attended Edison High School where he played football for his now predecessor, Coach Dave White. “After a grueling search with many qualified candidates, Jeff Grady stood out as the best person to replace the legendary Dave White,” stated Athletic Director, Rich Boyce....

Westminster FFA freshmen win B.I.G. at regional event

On Saturday, January 21, the Westminster High School (WHS) Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter participated in the Norte Vista FFA Field Day. The Lions took part in different competitions including Veterinary Science, Floral, Vegetable Crop Judging, and “Best Informed Greenhand.”  Best Informed Greenhand, otherwise known as B.I.G., is a competition exclusively for freshman-aged students that tests their knowledge of FFA’s history, purpose, and structure of local, state, and national organizations.  Westminster’s freshman did an outstanding job as they were awarded third place in the competition.
