Westminster decathletes earn top spot and improved state ranking

Congratulations to Westminster High School (WHS) for placing FIRST (Division 3) at the California Academic Decathlon State Championship this past weekend!  Lead by coaches Eric Brothwell and Elaine Lanz, the decathletes traveled to Sacramento, CA to compete against other teams in the subjects of Art, Economics, Music, Language and Literature, Mathematics, Science and Social Science. All competitions were pertaining to the 2016 theme of India. On Friday, Mar. 18, Edison High School (EHS) hosted the 9th annual district-wide “Huntington Beach (HB) Reads One Book” assembly featuring guest speaker, humanitarian, and author, Conor Grennan.
