District to hold annual College and Career Night

In a continued effort to expose students to multiple college and career opportunities, the Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD) is set to hold its annual College and Career Night at Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) on October 5, 2016. Ocean View senior named National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist

Congratulations to Ocean View High School (OVHS) senior, Tiffany Hamilton, for being named a National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist! Each year, only 16,000 students nationwide are recognized with this same, prestigious distinction.  As a senior at Ocean View, Tiffany has a rigorous schedule including International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) courses.  She is also a member of the school’s marching band. The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. PICTURES: Over 60 clubs participate in rush at Fountain Valley

Starting on Wednesday, September 14, Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) kicked-off its annual Club Rush Week.  During lunch time, clubs would gather in assigned areas around the bowl to try and recruit new members.  This year, there were 66 clubs that participated in Club Rush including KIWIN’S, Baron Buddies, Engineering Club, Wounded Warriors, Ukulele Club and much more.
