For the second year in a row, Westminster High School’s (WHS) Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter has been selected to represent the Southern Region as a finalist in the California Association FFA Web Page Award Program. The Lions enjoy this statewide distinction as a result of their precisely crafted and informative website, www.westminsterffa.com. Upcoming District Art Show set to showcase hundreds of student-created works

Starting March 24, the Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD) will host the 2017 District Art Show — an annual showcase of student artwork from all school sites. This year, the student art gallery will be displayed at the Huntington Beach Art Center (HBAC) as a part of the 11th Annual Creative Visions Exhibition beginning Friday, March 24.  Starting April 10, the gallery will then be on display for the public at the Huntington Beach Union High School District office.  See a full list of location and dates below. On March 9, Knott’s Berry Farm hosted their annual Physics Day, an all-day event complete with workshops and activities in order to educate students about physics concepts in a fun learning environment.  After weeks of preparation and building, Coast High School (CHS) was awarded 2nd place for “Best Roller Coaster” by Dr. Snoopy. On Wednesday, March 8, Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD) 11th and 12th graders participated in the final session of the inaugural Student Advocacy Program. Sponsored by the Huntington Union Council Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), this program promotes student engagement and collaboration with policymakers in decisions affecting K-12 education.  During each of the program’s four sessions, students had the opportunity to engage with a panel of experts to receive information and opinions regarding education finance, current academic issues, and student wellness concerns.
