Just in time for the new school year, the Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD) is pleased to announce the hiring of Edison High School’s (EHS) new Assistant Principal, Mr. Matthew White. After serving the Corona-Norco School District for ten years, White comes well-prepared and eager to become a contributing member of the HBUHSD. Since 2012, White has taught 10th grade English Honors, English Language Development, and served as the Head Swim Coach at Santiago High School in Corona, CA.  White also facilitated the school’s required second semester symposium project, a large component of their 10th grade curriculum...

Two HBUHSD schools ranked in the top 500

Congratulations to Huntington Beach High School (HBHS) and Marina High School (MHS) for being ranked in Newsweek’s Top 500 High Schools. Each year, these rankings are selected based on a broad range of data to determine which institutions do the best job of preparing students for college. Huntington Beach High School was ranked at 346 and Marina High School at 475.
