The Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD) is excited to offer the new online service, Overgrad, a free platform that helps students and parents plan for life after high school.  The HBUHSD guidance staff will begin Overgrad training in October, but students and parents are welcome to start using the service now. With Overgrad, students are able to find colleges and careers that match with their academic abilities and interests, understand the requirements needed to get there, and have tools to track their progress towards meeting those requirements over time. Tom Shields serves as Edison football’s honorary captain

On August 26, Edison High School (EHS) graduate and Olympic Gold Medalist, Tom Shields, served as the varsity football team’s honorary captain. Prior to the game, Tom proudly displayed his gold medal at the captain’s meeting as he performed the coin toss. On August 13, Tom became a gold medalist at the 2016 Rio Olympics in the men’s 400-meter medley relay for racing in prelims of the event.  This was Tom’s first time performing in the Olympics.
