Congratulations are in order for Deputy Superintendent of HR, Dr. Carolee Ogata, and HBHS Principal, Daniel Morris. Dr. Ogata was recognized as the 2021 HR Administrator of the Year for Orange County, while Morris was recognized as the 2021 Secondary Principal of the Year for Orange County. Both awards were given by the Association for California State Administrators (ACSA) Region 17.
“This is a huge honor as most administrators never get something like this in their lifetime,” said ACSA Representative Jason Ross. “The great thing about this award is that it was selected by their peers.”
Established in 1971, ACSA is the largest umbrella organization for school leaders in the U.S., serving more than 17,000 California educators. The organization annually spotlights students, administrators, and community organizations for their achievements and dedication to public education at both regional and state levels.
Dr. Ogata and Morris will both move on as nominees for the state of California’s Administrators of the Year award and will be formally recognized in November at the association’s Leadership Summit Awards Ceremony.
